Consistent Care = Reliable Results.

Traditional shampoos can leave residue that strips away your horse’s natural keratin.

Restore

Gold Barrel® is made from Hydrolyed corn, wheat, and soy proteins. These tiny plant proteins soak into the hair and grab onto spots that are damaged.

Repair

The keratin fills in weak spots. It smooths down rough edges on the hair. That means less frizz, fewer tangles, and less breaking.

Replenish

It leaves a soft, bendy layer on each hair. That layer protects against sun, wind, hard water, and damp air. The result is a natural luster.

How To Test.

  • Pluck a few clean, dry strands of hair and drop it into a bowl or clear glass filled with room-temperature water.

  • Let the strand sit in the water for 2 to 4 minutes to see where they settle.

Interpreting Your Results.

  • Sinks to the Bottom (High Porosity – Damaged/Dry): If the hair sinks quickly, it means the hair cuticle is open or damaged. It absorbs water rapidly but loses moisture just as fast, leaving it prone to frizz and dryness.
  • Floats at the Top (Low Porosity – Healthy): If the hair stays on the surface, the cuticles are tightly sealed. This means the hair is healthy and repels water, making it harder for moisture to penetrate.
  • Floats in the Middle (Medium Porosity – Balanced): If the hair settles somewhere in the middle, it is in a balanced state. It readily absorbs just enough moisture without losing it immediately.

Recommendation: Use Gold Barrel® once a month to replenish & repair. Use seasonally  to aid in weather protection.
